When should I book Makeup for my Wedding or Portrait Session?
If you have booked a venue for your wedding, it is important to start booking your beauty squad as soon as possible. During the spring/summer season, wedding dates tend to fill up quickly. Therefore, it’s important to save your date and contact me as soon as possible. For portrait sessions, it’s recommended to contact me as soon as the date for the photo session is set. To secure your date for a wedding or portrait session, a deposit is required along with a signed contract. This helps protect both the artist and the client in case of any last-minute cancellations or emergencies.

What is included in a Bridal package?
Danika offers a range of tailored wedding makeup services to help you look your best on your big day. She will work with you to create a customized look that perfectly suits your skin tone, eye shape, and personal style. From flawless foundation to stunning eye makeup and individual or full set lashes, she will take care of every detail to help you feel confident and beautiful. Plus, a complimentary touch-up kit to keep your look fresh throughout the day.
What is included for makeup for portraits and special events?
A personalized makeup look, lashes full set or individual, and the option to add a touch-up kit or makeup trial run.
What is a trial run or makeup preview?
As a makeup artist, I set up a mutually agreed time with you, the client, to discuss and create your ideal makeup look. This time is dedicated to you, so don’t hesitate to let me know what you like and don’t like about your inspirational picture. The little details matter, and it helps us achieve a better outcome by knowing them. Once we agree on the look you would like to try, I will begin with the makeup application.
How long do appointments take?
BRIDAL TRIAL RUN: Makeup: 1.5 hour application time & 15 min consultation
WEDDING DAY SERVICES: Bride: 1 hour || Bridal Party: 45 minutes
PORTRAIT APPOINTMENTS: 1 hour for hair or makeup
Because of COVID, there will be additional time between each client to make sure all tools, beauty items, and workspace are properly sanitized to keep both me the artist, and you the client safe.
Each client Danika Lav works with will have a designated set of tools and brushes that will not be used on any other clients. All beauty items and workspace will be wiped down between each client. Danika Lav will be wearing a face shield and/or medical-grade mask if she or client shows signs of being sick.
Travel fees for clients vary based on driving time and early start times. There is a base travel and kit fee of $100 included in your initial quote, which may be adjusted before your appointment. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Absolutely! In the case of large groups, I usually work with another Makeup Artist. As for hair, I can suggest a skilled Licensed Hair Stylist. If you’re looking for bridal hair, I have a few trusted Hair stylists that I can recommend to you.
Disclaimer and Cancellation Policy
DISCLAIMER:As a requirement for booking makeup services with Danika Lav MUA, all clients must sign their quote which serves as an agreement of the booking. Additionally, a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve your wedding date and $50 for a photo session or event, this amount will be due on the day of booking. Final payment is due one day before the client's wedding date. If you booked a Portrait or Event makeup session your payment is due before you receive services the day of your appointment. Travel and kit fees are included for every client and may be adjusted for early start times. There are no refunds for clients who do not show up for their booked date or time and clients who are 15 minutes appointment will be canceled.
CANCELATION POLICY: You have 24 hours to cancel a booked appointment. After this period, your wedding date or photo makeup session is locked in, and the deposit made will be non-refundable. To cancel an appointment in case of an emergency, please notify Danika Lav MUA at least seven days in advance. For all other cancellations, please provide a month's notice. Please note that deposits cannot be refunded but can be transferred to a new date. All payments made to Danika Lav MUA for services are final and non-refundable.
Danika Lav MUA has the right to cancel a scheduled appointment within 7 business days if the terms of the contract are breached or if an invoice remains unpaid. Additionally, if there is an unforeseen circumstance, such as sudden illness or COVID outbreak, that could hinder Danika Lav MUA's work or pose a risk to the client's health, the appointment may be canceled.
